We care about proper healthcare for the LGBTQ+ community because healthcare that actually is beneficial to people should be available to people regardless of sexual orientation and/or gender identity. The Trump administration is being transphobic by trying to push their beliefs that the only genders are male and female. Now, Transgenders, an already vulnerable demographic, will be denied checkups or testing due to their identity. Especially during the time of a pandemic, this could prevent transgender people from getting tested and treated.
